As far as comic book illustration goes the manner in which Hoyte objectively delivers a compelling visual narrative hits the spot every time with a level of honesty unparalleled outside of the classic age of graphic novels. From the panel-to-panel narrative of a comic page to the focal point of a single image, Hoyte cites the story - and telling it - as being the most important element.

Based in Hackney, east London, his most recent work as an illustrator merges traditional pencils and inks with the digital form, using line, form and colour in a variety of ways, but always in service of the story.

His style and working ethos is borne out of a misspent youth devouring comics, animation and music, which continues to influence and inform his practice. His work for the 2013 Guerilla Galleries show 100% NUDE expresses an honest lifetime of love for the female form, which continues to get him into trouble. Needless to say the piece entitled DIRTY MIND was the first from that show to be snapped-up by collectors.
